Primary Engineer Program Launched in Greater Manchester

11 December 2018

Yesterday saw the launch of the highly successful Primary Engineer Leaders’ Awards program in the Greater Manchester region. The premise of the program is to ask school children “if you were an engineer, what would you do”.

The launch was well attended with representatives from Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Siemens, University of Manchester, the IMechE, Equitus, and Primary Engineer. The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham delivered a fantastic speech in which he said he expected this region to drive the Fourth Industrial Revolution, just like it drove the first one.

This went on to show that when industry, academia, and governance come together to collaborate and deliver, the truly amazing can be achieved.
