2018 Year in Review

23 December 2018

As 2018 draws to a close, it is with great gratitude that we look back on what has been a positive year for Equitus Engineering Limited. Towards the end of last year, we decided to enhance our offerings and do a bit of rebranding around our vision, web presence and visual identity.

As a result of this, we streamlined our offerings into three distinctive, yet inter-connected categories with people at the heart of things:

  • Specialist Techncial Expertise
  • Engineering Led Product Development
  • Engineering Led Innovation

During the course of 2018, some of the projects we were delivering for the space sector came to a natural end. Whilst this happened on the one side, our collaborative efforts in other areas started to bear fruit.

Earlier this year we went to the US as part of an Innovate UK visit to the International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum in Princeton, New Jersey. It gave us a good understanding of the US market and the challenges and opportunities it presented.

Throughout 2018, we initiated and developed a few strategic partnerships, all of which have been meaningful and productive, and are growing. Our relationship with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Autodesk, the Growth Company and Innovate UK have led to some fantastic projects, events, and relationships with other people and organisations.

We have been fortunate to have been invited to have say in local governance, in the form of Raam Shanker being selected to be on the Mayor of Greater Manchester’s Business Advisory Panel. We have also had the opportunity to contribute to the local industrial strategy also.

We were sponsored by Innovate UK to exhibit at the Smart Factories Expo in Liverpool, as part of the Innovation Alley, where we showcased our combined offerings of engineering solutions and Lean 4.0 for manufacturing. This happened at the back of a project we did for an SME in Rochdale, with some fantastic results, and award nomination for them!

2018, for us, has been a fantastic year, for which we are grateful to everyone who made this a special one for us. There are too many names to mention, but you know who you are.

Now, moving on to 2019, we are developing a few new products and solutions, which will form part of our core offerings. We’re also putting together, the final touches on a few strategic partnerships we’re working on. All we can say at this point is, 2019 promises to be an exciting year for Equitus, and we hope you can join us on the ride!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year!
